About MAIN

The Montfort Academy Institute of Nursing in collaboration with Rotary Club of Panaji and Veejay Facility Management is affiliated to Human Resource Development Foundation (HRDF) of the Directorate of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (Govt. of Goa). The institute aims to be the center of academic excellence in the field of nursing. The institution believes in providing nursing education based and built on scientific principles, sound educational theory and clinically sound practice in order to prepare excellent and professionally qualified nurses who will work efficiently as caregivers to meet the health needs of the society.

Mission

At Monfort Academy, our mission is to inspire a love for learning and to empower our students to become confident, curious, and compassionate individuals who contribute positively to society. The institute aims to provide high quality nursing education and strives to mold a just & humane society while imparting quality home nursing education to the students. Along with quality nursing care, compassionate and empathetic human touch is the core of our home nursing education.

Vision

Our vision is to create a learning community where every child feels valued, respected, and supported in reaching their full potential. We strive to cultivate a lifelong passion for learning and instill values of integrity, empathy, and resilience in our students. The institute strives hard to create a professional environment based on the ethical and moral values so as to nurture, the professional attitude with a feeling of responsibility towards our society, in our students.

 

The purpose of the course is to assist students to become competent and committed caregivers. The curriculum has been planned to provide a broad concept of the fundamental principles of quality home nursing care based on strong theoretical concepts to enable graduates to function effectively in varied health care settings at individual, family and community levels, in urban as well as rural areas.

Objectives

  • Acquire knowledge of theory and principles of nursing and allied subjects which are required for comprehensive nursing practice.

  • Care of patients with a spirit of love and service, regardless of caste, creed or colour.

  • Develop skills in applying scientific principles and knowledge in rendering health services in the hospital and community.

  • Acquire skills in identifying health needs of the community & provide comprehensive community health nursing services.

  • Training students in an efficient and effective way for the overall development of their.

NURSING ASSISTANTSHIP COURSE (2024-25)

This program is of a 1 Year duration and is affiliated to the Human Resource Development Foundation (Directorate of Skill Dev. & Entrepreneurship - Govt. of Goa)
